The Albemarle Ramblers 2010 Appalachian Magic UK Concert Tour with Debby McClatchy
June 2, 2010
Hello friends, thanks for finding us here and keeping up with our adventures. We had a terrific time touring the UK in February and March, and are enjoying spring/summer weather and many outdoor musical gatherings and performances here at home. In three weeks we were able to play for enthusiastic audiences throughout England and Scotland, catch up with friends and family, and take walks in the Lakes, the Yorkshire Dales, and on Cornwall's incredible rocky coast. It was quite a treat to leave snowy Virginia behind in February, head east across the Atlantic and also 1000 miles north, and find springlike weather in Cornwall and Devon. We unfortunately didn't catch a glimpse of Arthur or his nemesis Merlin, but managed a visit to both their legendary birthplaces. Scotland gave us a tremendous warm welcome despite snow and howling winds. Debby organized a terrific tour and introduced us to many of her devoted fans and friends, and of course the warm and generous hospitality of this beautiful island is unmatched. Thank you all.
We are currently planning our tour for March 2011-- we hope to see you.
